The Waterdown Business Improvement Area (BIA) is a mandated
area by a by-law of the former town of
Flamborough and
continued by city of
Hamilton.

The mandate of the
BIA is the beautification
of the BIA designated area.
As
well, to promote the business opportunities
within the area, through marketing
and promotion, streetscaping, seasonal
decorations and events promotion.
The Waterdown BIA was established
when Village of Waterdown was the seat of the Town of Flamborough.
The area includes all the businesses along the south and north
side of Dundas Street, beginning at the Dundas Street bridge, at the
east end of the town and going west to the Bohemian Banquet Hall.
It also includes all the businesses on Mill and Main Streets, both north
and south.
As well as Hamilton street north to Parkside Drive. At the
start of 2011 there were more than 240 businesses located within the
BIA boundary.
