The Waterdown Business Improvement Area (BIA) is a designated business area within the village of Waterdown. It was designated in a by-law enacted by the former town of Flamborough. It is managed and directed by a nine (9) member volunteer Board of Management, a staff Administrator and the Ward 15 Councilor.

The mandate of the BIA is to beautify the BIA designated area. As well, it is to promote business opportunities within the area, through marketing and promotion, streetscaping, seasonal decorations and through special events promotion.

The Board is elected in the ‘Municipal Election Year’ and serves for the four (4) year council period.
